Overview.
More than half of daily dry waste that is generated in Aurangabad consists of problematic plastics. Without formal waste management systems, much of this ends up as plastic pollution. Low-value, soft plastic packaging waste often finds its into the environment, dumpsites, or overflowing, hazardous landfills.
With Project Anant Pranay, rePurpose Global aims to redefine plastic pollution in Aurangabad, partnering with women founded and led EcoSattva. The project incentivizes the collection and ethical processing of low-value plastics that would otherwise have become plastic pollution. In addition, all the women waste warriors are provided with free grocery and ration kits every month, providing them additional disposable income for improving their standard of life.
